Latest News

We realize that our goals for this organization are big ones, and everyone knows that progress takes time. Our Board of Directors is constantly working towards these goals, and we currently meet twice a month to that end.

Nevertheless, we sometimes get people asking about our progress and what we're up to. Thus we've added this page to our site as we thought it might be nice to offer updates on what's going on in our organization as we move toward our goals.

July 2009:

We began a media blitz to encourage community involvement NAACCI.

June 2009:

We did not meet during June 2009.

May 2009:
We began evaluating stategies for obtaining community involvement in the community center.

April 2009:
We made progress on an Animal Care Mall online project, which will help raise funds.

March 2009:
We continued evaluation of various buildings for the community center. We worked on a plan for a fundraising event. We discussed funding options to cover the fees needed to file our 501(c)(3) application. We provided PayPal with proof of our incorporation so that we may accept donations online.

February 2009:
We worked on 501(c)(3) application paperwork so organization will be tax exempt. Donations should be tax deductible retroactively through our date of incorporation (October 1, 2008).

January 2009:
We completed the plan and initiated the custom programming for the online fundraising project. We continued evaluation of building locations for the community center.

December 2008:
We researched additional funding options. We developed an idea for sustainable, online fundraising to complement the business sponsorships in the community center.

November 2008:
We continued developing our Board of Directors and evaluated options for various buildings. We opened the organization's bank account and began accepting donations.

October 2008:
We incorporated as a Georgia Non-Profit Organization and began building our Board of Directors.

September 2008:
We researched spay/neuter model programs, wrote our mission statement, and built our website.

August 2008:
The idea for this organization took shape.

To offer public education and free spay/neuter services nationwide through creating a duplicatable system of animal care community centers that promote collaboration between non-profit organizations and for-profit businesses.
